Adopted on 7-21-23 |
I just got adopted and I couldn't be happier! My new family is so awesome. I have two really nice and cool human sisters to hang out with and play with me (and give me so many hugs and pets!). They've already taught me how to play tug of war with my rope toy. I have a new bed that is all mine and one of my favorite toys, the spiky ball! My new Mommy is super motivated to give me the best head start in life. I get to go to school and have play dates with other puppies. My new Dad likes to go Kayaking and is hoping I can join him on it too! I...I don't know what that is...but I'm gonna find out! They also have a giant water bowl, one I can put more than just my paws in. I bet all of us can fit in that giant water bowl all at once! I'm so excited about my new life and I really hope all my puppy brothers and sisters all find awesome homes too. Oh, and everyone can call me Bear from now on! Love, Bear

Guess what, everypawdy?
Somebody got them a Pleiades! I'm pretty excited about everything and I totally wasn't even nervous. Ok, maybe for like...a minute..but that's it. I have a new dog sister and I'm gonna make her like me! She just got the best little sister in the world, she just doesn't know it yet. Good thing I already know how to give another dog some space. She's already getting softer, I can feel it! Anyways, my new mom and dad are super cool. They live right near the beach! So I'm gonna get to go there A LOT. We're right in the middle of where everything happens and that's pawfect for me, after all, I Can't Stop! |

Spock - Adopted August 8, 2018
2018 |
2019 |
They are still doing wonderful. Spock is the best dog I've ever had! He is eating wonderfully and put on some weight he's now 110 lbs. His allergies are much better and we bathe him weekly with a Medicated shampoo. His itching and chewing is almost gone and he has no more bare spots! The vet is so happy and his tremors have almost stopped. Spock wrestles with Herschel and plays all day long. They love each other so much and Spock is protective of Herschel. If a visitor dog comes and he tries to take a toy from Herschel, Spock goes and stands next to him it's so cute. - Vickie (09-22-2019)
He's now 115 lbs, Happy, Healthy, and off all his Meds. He loves his family, including the extra pup, a Siberian Husky that joined us last March. Spock is Herschel's body guard with other dogs. They do so well, they are genuinely brothers. Other dogs are just buddies! We will never own another dog other than a Dane, he stole our hearts!!! Love this boy so much! (2020)

After a not-so-illustrious start to life; filled with fear anger and biting – Pickles was picked up for rescue. Certainly not a dog you would want to adopt at first; after some time with the rescue he found out that beneath his veneer of loud barks and sharp teeth, he was actually pretty sweet. Although not quick to trust, Pickles is an excellent companion once he knows you. He now lives happily with my family, other dogs, other cats, and – most importantly – me, the one who picked him; and I wouldn't trade him for any other dog.

I've been blessed with four adoptions through Agatha's Lucky Paws. Our most recent adoption is Jenny Any Dots. When I heard about the kittens to be born, I was hoping I could find a future cat who would be all the things I had been looking to find in a kitty. I wanted a girl cat who was independent but would cuddle and play. I loved our previous cats and I wouldn't have traded them for the world, but I was hoping to find a companion who would fit my wants and my heart. ALPRAS was able to help fit me to the right kitten and she has turned into a wonderful cat and everything I had hoped for! Being a Calico just made it all the better because she is just beautiful! Jenny is inquisitive, playful, independent, but also my wonderful lap warmer. I know this rescue will always strive to make the right match for me and I pray many other animals will find hearts and homes in the future. Lots of Love and prayers - Myra Pinckney

I can’t believe it’s been two years already! Aurora is amazing and her personality just keeps growing the longer she is here. She has definitely made herself at home I think, and she does great with all the dogs. Her and Penny are inseparable and they are hilarious when they get going. They like to do race car dog on the couch and chase each other. They’ve made the water bowl the “safe base” so she will go take a sip of water and then catch Penny off guard.
She’s very smart, and has been doing well with the training. She just had a semi-annual check up at the vet and she is very healthy for her age. We are working on getting all the plaque off her teeth little by little every day, but that’s really the only issue. She also did a lot better with her anxiety at the vet, and I’ve been taking her out to all sorts of places. She also loves her walks with her brother.
She has been doing so much better with house training, and only has an occasional accident. She’s also finally learning how to play with toys after we’ve worked with her to show her how to “play” and watching her siblings. She really likes the toys that crinkle or ones with no stuffing that she can shake. When she really likes one, she’ll grab it and make a stash on the couch, and then run back for another haha Her siblings have figured out where she hoards them so it’s pretty funny.
She is obsessed with pillows and loves to move them around and snuggle in them. She also really likes ice water, so now anytime you have a cup of ice water, she’ll walk over and help herself to some It’s really helped to keep her hydrated too.
I’m so glad we found her, and she has truly reinforced why I want to adopt senior dogs. We are having a little party for her “birthday” (after all, 11 is a big deal!) so I’ll send you some photos from that. For now I’ll attach some of my favorites from this past year :) Thank you again for all that you’ve done for her and every animal you save. ️ - Jennifer (2017)

Johnny B. Goode is doing well, he and Aries are besties now. Aries keeps him in order. Johnny just plays and loves attention from us and all his play toys! He's settled in very well. I think it got to a point (with Aries) that she was like 'Hell No, I'm taking back my house!' lol. - Anastasia |
