Jamiah Annika PuddleduckOn April 28th we said Goodbye to another ALPRAS Sanctuary animal. Jamiah Annika Puddleduck (Jammie) aka 'Pancake' passed away at 8 AM today most likely due to Renal Failure. She had an assisted passing with her current Guardian and another member of the ALPRAS Team at her side while she was humanely euthanized.
It's difficult to say goodbye to a second Sanctuary animal this year after the loss of ALPRAS Mascot Julien Nikolai Sven, but we know Jamiah lived a good life and was happy and loved. |
Who She Was : |
Jammie was a Senior cat who came into the Sanctuary program after her much beloved Guardian Mother passed away a few years ago.

Her History : |
Jammie aka ‘Pancake’ came into the Sanctuary when her Human Momma passed away. She took it very hard as she had always been an extremely Co-Dependent kitty. She would cling to one person and it was hard for her to let go. She was originally a bottle baby and never quite grew out of being one. She still tried to nurse on her persons arm, clothing, sheets, blankets or anything that she could have for comfort. Her best friend was another Sanctuary Cat named Katherine Ann Marie. She had known Katherine all her life and would have been a bit lost without her.
All of that said, Jammie was a sweet cat who must have been a Ragdoll cat in her previous life! Jammie could put up with a lot and didn’t mind being carried around no matter what position she was in. She also melted in your arms or whatever she was laying on. She can get very flat! That is how she earned her nickname 'Pancake'. Jammie was extremely loving and very much enjoyed every form of cuddling possible. Whether Cat Bed, Blanket, or any place soft, she was the best Pancake ever and we wouldn’t have wanted this girl any other way! |
